Writer\'s Guidelines Hemispheric Institute; journal, revista ENG: The Hemispheric Institute’ s online journal e-misferica welcomes essays related to performance and politics in the Americas, including subject matter relating to the performing arts, activism, online actions, the construction of gender as it plays out through performativity, the performance of power and resistance, rituals, fiestas, and other symbolic, structured, and embodied practices through which the different cultures in the Americas perform identity, memory, and/ or resistance. Crossings between academic disciplines and dialogues between theoretical and practical work are encouraged.
