<dc:description>ENG: Mexico Encuentro 2001: Performances
A wide variety of performances presented by both prominent and emerging artists, took place throughout the Mexico encuentro. Headliner performances, held in the Sala Grande of the Teatro de la Ciudad each evening, presented works that directly corresponded to the major themes of the encuentro. Smaller performances were held at the Centro de las Artes, and in the Teatro de la Ciudad\'s, Sala Experimental. Outside performances were held in the Teatro\'s amphitheater and in the Plaza Zaragosa. A club called La Tumba held the encuentro\'s Trasnochoteo, where late night, cabaret style performances were presented by encuentro participants.</dc:description>
